About us

OBADIA is a young Parisian ready-to-wear brand whose inspirations take their essence from a velvet-clad boudoir.

The designer, Marie Obadia, reinterprets the rules of classical culture and the performing arts in a dark, captivating universe. Fascinated by mysticism, symbolism and the forbidden, she imagines a world where creatures emerge from the shadows.

Her attraction to film noir gives life to sensual anti-heroes, imbued with madness reflecting the duality of the human being. Historical references, omnipresent in the brand’s creative signature, are bringing to life the forgotten characters of the past.

Faced with standardization and simplification in today's clothing, OBADIA offers a theatrical alternative in ready-to-wear. We put classic cuts, corsetry and lingerie at the service of today's wardrobe.

Our Engagement

We work mainly with deadstock fabrics sourced from LVMH platform Nona Source. We give second life to exceptional materials from major French and Italian luxury fashion houses.

By using existing fabrics, we reduce textile waste and avoid unnecessary production. Each fabric is available in limited quantities, which leads to small runs and unique pieces.

Our creative process takes place in our Paris studio, in close collaboration with local ateliers and responsible manufacturing partners, chosen for their expertise, ethical practices and high-quality craftsmanship. We support responsible production at every stage.

Our Team

OBADIA is a Paris-based fashion studio with an international creative sensibility. Founded by Marie Obadia in 2025, the brand brings together talents shaped by different cultures and shared references in fashion, art, and cinema.

The project is supported by a close circle of collaborators, from design to communication, whose diverse backgrounds — from  Switzerland to Polynesia — inform a singular and contemporary vision.

Together, Marie, Lauris, Nicolas and Alexonne work towards a fashion label they believe in and are proud to share. OBADIA evolves through dialogue and collaboration, and remains open to new creative encounters.
