We Organized a Garden Party !

Paris — June 2026

For our first event, we decided to bring the garden inside.

In June, we transformed a Paris apartment into an ephemeral garden to celebrate the launch of OBADIA. Rolls of real grass covered the floors, a fountain was installed in the middle of the space, and the collection found its place somewhere between the clothes racks, flowers and garden furniture.

We wanted our first gathering to feel personal. So rather than a traditional launch event, we opened the doors of home and invited the people who had been around us from the beginning — friends, family and collaborators — to discover the first OBADIA collection : “INCIPIT”.

For an entire week-end, the apartment became our own little world: part showroom, part garden party, and slightly surreal.

A first celebration, and the beginning of OBADIA.

Let me take you behind the scenes…

We got our hand dirty placing the real grass rolls inside !

The idea was to create a real garden inside my home, not just the illusion of one. Using real grass was essential: I wanted the space to feel alive, unexpected and slightly surreal, as if the outside had somehow taken over the apartment. We brought everything in ourselves, from rolls of fresh grass to the fountain and garden furniture, and spent the day transforming the space before welcoming our friends and family that week-end.

We presented our collection on rack and stockman.

Friends & Family

The best part was seeing the space finally come alive with people. Over the two days, our guests discovered the collection, tried on the pieces, took pictures, stayed for a drink — and, most importantly, seemed genuinely happy to be there (and looked very good in OBADIA).

What started as an intimate gathering also grew beyond our own circle. Friends shared the event with their communities, bringing in people we had never met before, people who probably wouldn’t have discovered OBADIA otherwise. Seeing new faces walk through the door, try on the clothes and become part of the weekend was one of the nicest surprises.

Having my family there made it particularly emotional for me. My mother was there, along with relatives who came to support something I had been working towards for so long. Friends travelled from London and Luxembourg just to be with us, which meant more to me than I can say <333

To everyone who came, shared the event, brought someone along, tried something on, took a picture, stayed a little longer than planned, or travelled all that way to celebrate with us: thank you. You made our first event feel very special.

The People Behind It

Of course, none of this happened on its own.

My team was there throughout the entire weekend, helping me organise, set everything up, welcome our guests and keep things going for two very full days. OBADIA is a collective effort, and having them beside me for our first event made it all the more special. Lolo, Nico, Alex, thanks for you support, your vision and for bringing your friends along!

My boyfriend deserves a paragraph of his own. He helped with absolutely everything: carrying rolls of grass upstairs at 6am, laying it across the apartment, installing the fountain (and somehow getting it to actually work), picking up the cake, keeping me sane when things inevitably became stressful, and then helping take the entire garden apart once everyone had gone home. There would quite literally have been no garden without him.

And then there was my friend Adrien, who convinced me not to compromise on the original idea. When I started wondering whether real grass inside an apartment might be slightly unreasonable, he pushed me to do it anyway — and it changed everything. He was also there throughout the event, camera in hand, capturing our guests and so many of the moments you see on this page.

It took a small village to build a garden inside an apartment. I’m very lucky this was mine!!
